Is it possible to have Process Manager set the name field of the new record with dynamic data when building a Process Task of type Create New Record. For example, we have a custom module for Lease Agreements and we want to create a Sugar Task on the Expiration of the Lease and have the name of the Lease in the Name of the Sugar Task. How do we do this?
Yes – you can have Process Manager enter the name of the Lease Name in the name field of the new Sugar Task. The syntax used in PM is $tableName_FieldName
So let’s say that your Custom Module is Called Lease Agreements.
The actual module name is a combination of the module key and module name.
When using Module Builder to create this new module, you were prompted to enter a key then a name.
So if you key was something like la, and the module name was lease, then the table name would be la_lease.
Or for another example, suppose your key was leases and your module was name leaseagreement, then the database table created would be leases_leaseagreement.
With that, your variable data for PM would be:
So when setting up the the process in Process Manager, you will be creating a new Sugar Task as the new record, using By Field as the Create Method , and By Value as the Field Set Method – then enter in $la_lease_name in the Value Text Box
