Process Manager has extensive email capabilities. You can choose to send an email as part of a business process. For instance, you may want to send all new leads a welcome email, or send the Account related to a Case and email when the Case is Closed. When you setup a Process Task to send an email you need to first create an Email Template in the Email Templates module. Process Manager uses Email Templates that you create and is able to fill in data in the template that is related to the Process Object.
This new version of Process Manager has been completely updated for sending emails. The new features allow you many options on who gets the email. Process Manager can now be setup to find the email addresses for just about any module and field, as long as the module is related to the Process Object. Here are some examples of the new Email Functionality:
Send Emails to any Person Module in Sugar
Send Emails to an email address that is a custom field on the process object
Send Emails to an email address that is a related module to the process object
Send Emails to an email address that is a custom field on a related module to the process object
Send email to all objects related to the process Objects
ie: send email to all contacts related to an Account
