Why spend $500 for PM Pro?
We often get asked by prospective customers what is our value proposition and thought it appropriate to write a short bit on why you should seriously consider a powerful workflow module for your SugarCRM.We'll assume you have setup your LAMP system, downloaded SugarCRM Community Edition and have completed the installation of Sugar. Maybe you have been using Sugar for some time and have read about Business Process Management (BMP)/Workflow in forums or other CRM editorials. The time has arrived to research why BPM is right for you.
You will soon realize that as powerful as SugarCRM CE is, it is an account management system in which you still have to babysit. There is no "out-of-the-box" automated way to proactively communicate with your customers or business partners. Something as simple as sending new leads an acknowledgement email when they hit your website is not available in SugarCRM CE.
Your company may have policies and best practices that define what exactly a sales or support staff member is supposed to do when a customer contacts your company. This could be contractual agreements with your customer that you will respond to new support cases within a given time. Or, it may mean that for each new lead, your policy is to setup a series of Calls that must be completed in a given time. Whatever it might be, without automated workflow, you and your employees must remember to do these things or suffer the loss of your customers.
Without automated process management, you can't guarantee that your company is adhering to your standards.

There are other BPM products available to you. Some run in the cloud with a "sugar connector". You will pay a monthly fee for these services. Other products are available as add on modules via SugarForge. They are limited in their capibilities. Only Process Manager Pro allows you to setup workflow in Sugar that verifies Sugar knows what to do when to do it.
