SierraCRM Products Process Manager
Process Manager Enterprise Edition Overview:
  1. The Process - You define processes by choosing the object you want the process to run against and the start event. For example on Lead Create or Opportunity Modify. Additionally, there are filter fields that allow you to specify object field attributes. Finally Process Manager includes Cancel events that allow you to cancel the process on object delete modification of the object.
  2. The Process Stage- Once you have completed building the initial process, you create process stages. Process stages are where you determine when you want the process to run. Process Stages can be set to run immedeately or queued up to run in the future. You can have as many stages as you desire.
  3. The Process Task- The final component to building a Process is to define the Process Tasks. Process Tasks are related to Process Stages. You can have as many Process Tasks related to a sinlge Process Stage as you desire. Process Tasks consist of the action to perform. This includes one of the following:
    1. Send an Email
    2. Schedule a Call
    3. Schedule a Meeting
    4. Create a SugarCRM Task
    5. Run Custom PHP Scripts

Process Manager

SierraCRM's flagship product, Process Manager is a flexible workflow module that is easy to install and easy to use. Process Manager allows you to setup simple to complex business processes that match your best business practices. You build processes based on the creation or modification of SugarCRM objects, such as leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities or cases. 

Processes consist of stages and stages consist of tasks. Stages can be setup to run immediately or queued up to run in the future. Each stage has tasks. Tasks can be one of the following:

  • Send Emails
  • Schedule Calls
  • Create SugarCRM Tasks
  • Schedule Meetings
  • Run custom php scripts

Examples of using Process Manager include:    

  • Automatically send emails to new leads
  • Proactively keep all customers informed by way of email or scheduled calls and tasks
  • Build customer for life processes on Opportunity Close
    • Send a monthly newsletter to new customers
  • Manage support with Case Management Processes
    • Automatically send emails to customers as cases are moved through your case management

Process Manager Enterprise Edition
SierraCRM provides two versions of Process Manager, a Community Edition and an Enterprise Edition. The Enterprise Edition, which can be installed under SugarCRM Professional or SugarCRM Enterprise has many features not found in the community edition.
